Rainbow Tumbler by Nicole Pakan

The tumbler by Nicole does resemble a rainbow with its vibrant gradient of colors. The transition from soft yellow and blue-green at the top, through warm reds and oranges in the middle, to deep blues and greens at the base, mirrors the spectrum of a rainbow. The flowing patterns and bright, glossy finish further enhance this colorful, natural effect

Clay body: Plainsman M370 white clay

Glazes from top down in stripes. Each one overlapped the layer below it:

• Inside: Oatmeal, but Nicole prefers Iron Yellow as a liner
• Textured turquoise x3
• Oatmeal x2
• Chun plum x2
• Iron Lustre x2
• Textured Turquoise x2
• Midnight Blue x3 – so stable that Nicole uses it as a catcher for the runners
• fired to cone 5.5-6
